South African Society of Psychiatrists – SASOP

SASOP aims to promote, maintain and honour the discipline of psychiatry as a medical speciality, and to serve the community by providing information and guidance for those in need of professional help. The SASOP website has a useful Patients page with information about psychiatry, the referral pathways for accessing public sector mental health care services, and how to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Unfortunately, the Find a Psychiatrist section does not seem to work.
